On Sunday, August 1, our entire congregation had the opportunity to assist in a unique missions project. We are partnering with the Center of Hope, a residential Christian discipleship recovery program in Clearwater, to provide useable items to be sold in their thrift stores, which help to fund their residential housing ministry.
Over the past four years Center of Hope has helped more than 600 men regain meaningful full-time work, reunite with their families, attend Bible College or enter full-time ministry. Additionally, 200 people have committed their lives to Christ and were baptized. Check out www.clearwaterdreamcenter.com for additional information on their ministry. The primary focus of Center of Hope is to bring people closer to God and, by doing so, help them to resolve problems in their lives, which have brought them there seeking help.
Harborsiders responded by bringing MOUNDS of clothing, shoes and household items, evidenced by the photo!
